Took a lecture for the family physicians of dahisar  on rational use of antibiotics in children on 26 december...made efforts to give them correct knowledge to use antibiotics for correct reason i.e. only in bacterial infections..basic differences in viral and bacterial infections..basic tests to perform in case of doubt...how to choose an antibiotic..dose..duration..
                  Impressed upon the fact that antibiotic resistance has been on  increase and most important cause of it is unnecessary use of antibiotics..using in smaller dose and for short duration..how antibiotic resistance develops...how it has led to development of resistance bacteria.how each doctor can make a difference in preventing this threat for all of us...

am sure the lecture has given them a good insight and the necessary stimulus to them to ponder and incucate the attitude of rational use of antibiotics in children..
